Dead Sea

The lowest place in the world offers a healing tourism and spa based on the healing properties of hot springs and Dead Sea mud reservoirs, brine and hot seawater rich in minerals, and exposure to low natural ultraviolet radiation and high barometric pressure. There are a number of diseases such as skin and joint diseases that are successfully treated by immersion in brine and hot springs, mud smearing and exposure to sunlight. The high specific gravity of the water allows people to float in the sea easily, a feature that makes bathing in the sea a real attraction. In addition to medical tourism, the Dead Sea Basin has recreational, nature and landscape tourism, desert tourism and visits to cultural heritage sites.
