Masada national park is an ancient fortress on the summit of an isolated cliff, on the eastern edge of the Judean Desert, which rises to a height of 63 meters above sea level, and about 450 meters above the Dead Sea at its foot.
In 2001, UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site. Every year, about 750,000 visitors visit the site and it is considered
one of the most popular tourist sites in Israel.
